WHO WE ARE
The Chama River Bend Lodge first opened it's doors to travelers and vacationers in 1989. Being a local life-long resident of the Chama Valley along with my hospitality experience, I [Sandra] have been providing friendly service with a great smile. My 20 years of honorable service in the Air National Guard along with meeting Julio, (my Husband) in 1995, with a background in Industrial Maintenance, Construction and Welding— joined our efforts together to make The Chama River Bend Lodge your cozy home away from home. Since then, we have made it our ministry to provide cozy accommodations and friendly smiles for our guests here in the Chama Valley. Both local New Mexicans, we understand and appreciate New Mexico culture for the unique gem that it is, and strive to offer comfortable, friendly and a memorable experience! "After a long motorcycle ride, this is the place to rest and unwind in Chama. We stopped by in mid September. The rooms are cozy and clean, and the owners are very nice. The lodge is a large clean property, with a fire pit and sitting area in the center. The owners did us a huge favor by dropping off and picking us up from a recommended restaurant minutes away. The location is great and the hospitality even better. Before leaving, the owners read us a scripture and prayed for us, as we still had a long journey ahead. We will definitely stay here again!"

"I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the River Bend Lodge in Chama. It was my first time to Chama and I arrived late at night. I'd heard of the RBL from family and thought I'd check it out. I found it easily along hwy 84/64, about a half mile out of "town". It felt like an oasis after a long stressful drive. The staff was friendly and responsive. The room was very inviting - clean, very spacious, and felt like home, very comfortable bed too!....it's quiet, peaceful and has an uplifting sense about the whole property....There's a short river walk at the back of the property and sitting/reading/bird-watching area at the bank of the Chama River. If you're looking for a comfortable, clean, pleasant environment, I don't think you could ask for more than the RBL offers. Very glad I chose this place. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Chama."
